Dutch Bivi Bag
A high-spec lightweight bivi bag from the Dutch Armed Forces. Manufactured from three layer laminate fabric (similar to Gore Tex) which is both breathable and waterproof.
Featuring a robust centre zip with oversized velcro-fastening storm-flap, a draw-cord hood and sleeves on the underside to accommodate a sleep mat and keep it in position.
These superb quality bivi bags are generously sized and will easily accommodate a full winter sleeping bag without compressing the insulation.
2.25 m long, 80 cm at shoulder, 65 cm at foot. 1.25 kg
Grade 'A' bags are in excellent, clean, very-lightly-used condition. In some cases it may be necessary to re-stick very small sections of seam tape which have lifted over time (easily done with a warm iron and baking parchment).
Pictures show a grade 'A' bag.
Italian Sleeping Bag Cover
A lightweight nylon sleeping bag stuff sack with integrated cover from the Italian Armed Forces. A practical piece of camping equipment which will help to keep your sleeping bag clean and dry.

Featuring toggles along the length and a chunky centre zip, the cover is large enough to accommodate a full winter bag without compressing the loft and reducing the insulation.
Length: 210 cm
Shoulder: 90 cm
Foot: 70 cm
Packed size: 46 x 27 cm
Weight: 550 g
In non-issued condition although a little grubby in places from storage (shown with sleeping bag which is not included).
Dutch Compression Sack
Large compression sack from the Dutch Military. Intended for storing the three-piece Dutch modular sleep system.
The 40 litre capacity (60 cm x 30 cm) makes it suitable for most sleeping bags.
The sack features seven separate straps with ladder-lock buckles allowing the contents to be compressed both tightly and evenly.
In excellent condition with the occasional minor sign of storage.
Weight approximately 230 g.
A useful bit of kit with quality webbing which is as suitable for storing clothes and similar items as it is for sleeping bags.
Canadian Arctic Sleeping Bag
A modular sleep system from the Canadian Armed Forces – in rare new condition; perfect for cold weather adventures. Consisting of five separate components, this kit offers significant protection from extreme cold:
1. Outer bag (NSN 8465-21-842-6078). Nylon with down insulation. Weight: 2.2 kg. Width: 80 cm (shoulder), 50 cm (foot).
2. Inner bag (NSN 8465-21-842-6079). Nylon with down insulation. Weight: 2.2 kg. Width: 75 cm (shoulder), 50 cm (foot).
3. Liner (NSN 8465-21-842-6080). Cotton. Weight: 0.8 kg
4. Hood (NSN 8465-21-842-6081). Nylon outer, cotton inner and synthetic insulation together with Velcro fastenings and elasticated arm loops. Weight: 0.3 kg.
5. Storage sack (NSN 8465-21-107-4616). Water resistant nylon with a draw-code closure. Can be used as an emergency water carrier. Weight: 0.3 kg.
Approximate total weight: 5.8 kg. Packed size: 66 x 37 cm.
Both bags feature high quality brass YKK zips and baffles along the length of each to eliminate cold spots. Ties enable the bags and liner to be fastened together.
The hood is designed to be worn like a balaclava; the sleeping bags then fastens around the collar of the hood which extends down the back, shoulders and chest. Velcro at two positions on the hood allow the opening to be adjusted based on the temperature and user's preference. In milder conditions a single bag could be used.
We would estimate a 'comfort' temperature rating of below -25 °C based on our experience of winter camping in quality down bags. Please note that this is just an estimate. We believe these bags were originally rated to -40 °C.
For comparison we have included a picture of one of our used Canadian bags next to an Alpkit Alpine Dream 900 (-20 °C comfort rated).
With the exception of some minor storage marks on the exterior of the sack this kit is in new condition.
If you're looking for a flexible sleeping bag for use in extreme conditions you won't be disappointed with this superb example.
